Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (VM)

Puttur, Feb 14: In a fight between two officials from the land department over money matters, one of the officials ended up firing at the other persons house which created panic in the area on Wednesday Februrary 13.

The two officials are identified as Sudesh who works at land survey section and Jayachandra who is a village accountant at Koila village. Sudesh was the culprit who fired the shots.

As per the information obtained, a fight erupted between the duo in Kadaba town over money matters. The fight emerged when Jayachandra asked the loan money to be returned which he had lent to Sudesh.

It is learnt that Jayachandra had come to Kadaba in the evening. As he did not get any transport to travel to Uppinangady, he stayed at his friend, Jagadish's place.

Sources said that at midnight, Sudesh called Jayachandra over phone and began to fight again for the money. Angered by this, Sudesh threatened to kill him and he brought a gun and fired it at the room where Jayachandra had stayed.

Luckily no casualty was reported as the bullet hit the window. The window pane is said to be broken.

As soon as the news was reported to the Kadaba police, they arrived at the spot and arrested Sudesh along with his gun.

Police sources said that, Sudesh bought the gun from his house in Coorg giving a reason to carry it for repair.

Suresh, Puttur rural circle inspector, Kadaba SI Nagaraj visited the spot. A case of murder attempt has been registered on Sudesh.

One silver lining in the story. Thes officials are short of money which also implies that they are not currupt...otherwise where do you find revenue officials WITHOUT MONEY now a days ???usually they play in CRs
