Dubai : Byndoor Association Celebrates 23rd Anniversary

Dubai, Feb 11: Byndoor Catholic Association ( Association of Byndoor Parishioners residing in UAE ) a 23 years old  and one of the most Oldest Konkani Community Association in UAE, celebrated their 23rd Anniversary  at Quick Bite Restaurant Hall, Deira, Dubai on 8th February 2013.

The programme commenced at 12:00 p.m. with prayer song and BharataNatyam from Mrs. Veenitha followed by Prayer song from Flevy Lobo and Elina Monteiro.

B.G. Mohan Das, Born and Brought up and spent his childhood in Byndoor, Chief Editor of, Gulf website and former President of Dubai Karnataka Sangha was the chief guest for the occasion. BCA Establishment members Salvador Nazareth, Aloysius Nazareth, Ignatius Lobo and Antony Baretto presence on the stage.

BCA president Francis Rebello welcomed the dignitaries on stage. BCA secretary Miller Rodrigues gave the brief report of BCA aims and service of the association.

The Founder Memmbers of BCA , Salvador Nazareth, Aloysius Nazareth, Ignatius Lobo , Antony Baretto and Marcel Dias were honoured with Floral Bouquets and mementoes on the occasion. On behalf of Marcel Dias his wife Leena Dias took the honour.

B.G. Mohan Das was felicitated for his various Social Activities and dedication to the well being of Society. In his brief address he congratulated BCA and all parishioners in UAE for keeping unity from last 23 years. He also further stressed to continue the good work and develop the younger generation to carry on the Good Work.

There was a great surprise to Rony Byndoor and Ashok Byndoor when BCA has honoured them  for their Immense contribution to Konkani Literature and Cultural activities.

Rony Byndoor, the versatile singer in Dubai along with Miller Rodrigues, Eric D Souza ,Gretta DíSouza, Jessy Nazareth, Flevy Lobo and Elina Monteiro sung various Konkani Songs and performed non-stop baila dance.

Several wonderful dances were performed by young kids Arvin, Neha, Riyola, Rochelle, Nikita, Benita, Liwana and Melvin. Ashok Byndoor and his team Ė Kiran Lobo, Wilfred Nazareth & Robert Nazareth performed rib tickling skits, comedy  and Country dance which left the audience in non- stop laughter.

Noted keyboard player Goldina DíSouza provided the background Music & Lancy D Souza provided the DJ music for the entire programme.

Several Spot games were conducted and attractive prizes were distributed. BCA president Francis Rebello felicitated all the performers who entertained the gathering.

Charles Reberio delivered the vote of thanks, stage program was conducted by Dolphie Nazareth and entire programme was compered by Popular Konkani writer Ashok Byndoor.
