Mangalore: MLA U T Khader Escapes with Minor Injuries

Mangalore, Sep 19: MLA U T Khader suffered minor injuries after  the car in which he was travelling in toppled near Arikkadi, Hanuman temple, here on Wednesday September 19 afternoon.

It is learnt that the speeding car was plying from Kumble. Amlamogaru Rafeeq, panchayat member was driving the car. In order to escape hitting a cow which was crossing the road he took a sudden turn when he lost control over the vehicle and the car toppled.

They were returning after attending a wedding ceremony at Essa Hall, Kumble.

They were given first aid at the Father Mullers Hospital in Mangalore.

@mr.sunil.. i agree that u have seen that car driven recklessly in mlore .. bt was thr any complaints of accident or harmin any othr vehicles in the road till now? u specify jus one incident thn we can surely agree with u... n abt this incident jus to save a cow this accident took place... so b4 advicing place d evidence or just place the past records of any harm done to other people due to this car!

The administration should ensure that there are no cows on the roads.. they pose a threat. the road is meant for vehicles and not stray animals.

I Fully agree with Mr Sunil that i too have seen this innova being driven very rashly and i didnt know it was MLA's car. Being peoples representative it is Mr Khaders duty to educate his driver about safe and careful driving. Mr Khader is lucky to have escaped without any much injuries but what if the car had toppled???? dont take chances Mr Khader - we all live once. Pls intruct your driver to drive safe and proper.

I have seen this vechile being driven rashly on many occasions , not bothered of Two wheelers and ready to bring anyone and everyone under it on both sides of the road , i came to know it is an MLA's car today , reason for avoiding hitting a cow could be true but not the way the vechile is driven , with no respect to fellow vechile users on the road , Hope MR Kadher can give some lessons in safe drving to his driver
