Mangalore: Konkani Natak Sabha Hosts Inter-parish Biblical Skit Competition

Mangalore, Sep 18: Konkani Natak Sabha organized the eighth inter-parish biblical skit competition at Don Bosco Hall, Mangalore on Sunday
September 16.

Seven parishes namely Angelore, Paldane, Bondel, Cordel, Parla, Permannur and Jeppu under Mangalore diocese participated in the competition.

Paldane Parish bagged the first place while Cordel Parish stood second, Bondel Parish bagged the third place. Bondel Parish bagged overall championship.

Sr Eliz Mary, Arthur D’Souza and Antony Samuel (Tony Rujai) were the judges for the competition.

President Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Aloysius D’Souza compered the programme. General secretary Sunil Menezes proposed the vote of thanks. Convenor Raymond Lobo introduced the judges and Martin D’Souza announced the results.

The prize distribution ceremony of all the competitions conducted from July to September will be held on September 22, 2012 at 6 pm. The 69th annual day celebration of Konkani Natak Sabha will be held on September 23, 2012 at 5.30 pm at Don Bosco Hall, Mangalore. Konkani social comedy play “Kon Ulaitha” written by Nellu Permannur will also be enacted.
