Bangalore: 'Dandupalya' Pooja Gandhi Asked to Quit JD(S)?

Bangalore, Sep 14 (DHNS): Apparently upset over BJP leader Ayanur Manjunath’s remarks on actor and JD(S) leader Pooja Gandhi, JD(S) State President H D Kumaraswamy has decided to ask actor Pooja Gandhi not to associate with the party any longer. Manjunath had commented that the JD(S) has the ‘queen of Dandupalya’ as its leader.

The JD(S) leader told reporters here on Thursday that the party never invited the actor to join the party. “She voluntarily joined the party. Moreover, we do not need any film star to build our party. I will ask her not to associate with the party,” he stated. Pooja Gandhi had joined the JD(S) in January this year. The party had appointed her as the working president of its youth wing.

The actor had played one of the leading gang members in the recently-released film, Dandupalya. The gang was involved in a series of heinous and cold-blooded murders in and around Bangalore.

Kumaraswamy took potshots at Manjunath for speaking lightly about a woman and an actor. “It is most unbecoming of Ayanur Manjunath. His statement indicates the BJP leaders’ attitude towards women,” he stated.


‘Remove Ashoka’

He demanded Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar to drop R Ashoka from the ministry for his inability to end the transport strike and prevent inconvenience to people. Ashoka took all the trouble to visit the City Railway Station to prevent exodus of the north-eastern people from Bangalore recently. But he has not been courteous enough to meet the protesting drivers and conductors to resolve the issue, Kumaraswamy charged.

Ismail perinje, I felt very happy to read your comments. Yes we must respect women. But why only BJP?. I have seen many derogatory comments by congress & supporters on Shobha Karandlaje. also i Cant forget how ND Tiwari, Kandla, Hallapa, Manu Sangvi are respecting women. Grow up man. I just watched clipping of Ayanur Manjunath,BJP MP's,comments @ Pooja Gandhi,JDS leader, and I feel pity on him.This shows how BJP treating women and their profession.The statement of Ayanur is condemnable and in a bad taste.BJP has to take action against him(A.MAnjunath)On the other hand HDK's remarks/comments on the issue was inhuman and below std.This is very bad precedent and people in higher level, politicians or non politicians adhere some responsibility/civility.

I request leader Kumara Swamy to change the decision (if at all what we are reading is true). Gandhi is a young leader and come to JD(S) with great faith. During the process of building party its not the time to remove young leaders but time to include new leaders. JD(S) has a bright future due to corrupt BJP and useless congress. BJP is not worth commenting regdg Gandhi. BJP is a shelter of corrupt people who protects corrupt always.

H.D.Kumara Swamy for the first time has taken a wrong decision. Who is that Ayanur Manjunath. Infact i have requested H.D.Kumara Swamy not to take such decision. After all Pooja Gandhi is an actor who is earning her daily bread as an actor. Just because she has acted in a film, that idiot Ayanur Manjunath should not comment like that. Also Ayanur Manjunath has earned a bad name for BJP with such remarks. My appeal to formaer Chief Minister is withdraw that decision. Pooja Gandhi is first a human being, then an actor.

Who is Ayanur manjunath? who can't even win a election, jumping from one party to another party. Does he have the moral right to talk to any female politician? Ayanur wins the election only when he is nominated for some seats. such politicians we should not call them a leader. leader is the one who faces the people during the election time and wins the election without any hook or crook.

The roles enacted by all cine actors are all imaginary characters and it has got nothing to do with real character of the actors. Kumaraswamy should not have given importance to Foolish comments of some Politicians. Actually the politicians themselves are committing big mistake by roping in cine actors to pull the crowd for their meetings, instead of allowing them to stick to their artistic profession.
Hindi Actor PRAN had played the role of BAD MAN in hundreds of movies, but in 1977 general election after Emergency he was the star campaigner for Janatha Party and could garner lakhs of votes for that party.
