Mangalore, Sep 3:
"The ‘Vishwa Beary Sammelana’ will be organized in the coming year and leaders of the community across the world will take part," said Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy president Rahim Ucchil here at a press meet here on Monday September 3

The event is scheduled to be held in Shimoga and a preparatory meet will be organized in this regard in November this year, he said.

He also informed that 'Pernal Sandola' and 'Halli-Hallig Beary Sandal' (Beary Folk Jatha) programme will be organized at Town Hall on September 8 and 9.
 
MLC Monappa Bhandary will inaugurate the programme and Rahim Ucchil will preside. MCC mayor Gulzar Baanu, MLA U T Khader, N B Abubakkar, president of Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy president Umanath Kotian, KSP former president Harikrishna Punaroor, JD(S) leader Gulam Mohammed will be the chief guests.
 
On September 8, multi-lingual poet Mohammed Baddoor and team will organize Beary folk and music orchestra at 3.30 pm. On September 9, ‘Halli-Hallig Beary Sandal’ programme will be organized. Deputy speaker of legislative assembly N Yogish Bhat will initiate the Jatha at 8.30 am.
 
'Oppana dance', 'kolkali', duff and orchestra teams will move from Goodinabali (Bantwal), Kalladka, Nandavara, Bollayi, Kukkaje, Saletthor, Kudthamugeru, Vitla, Mangilapadavu, Melkar and other places and will showcase Beary literature and cultural to the people of other communities too, informed Rahim Ucchil.
 
"The Jatha will be taken out on second and fourth Sundays of every month and will cover various places in the state. Beary academy has chalked out various programmes to be held in places like Shimoga, Bangalore, Theerthahalli, Sakleshpura, Belur," he said.
 
Ucchil said that there is need for a Beary Peetha for the use of community people and said that the Beary Bhavana is planned to be built near Padil for which land has been sought from the MCC.
 
Umarabba, registrar, A K Jamaluddin, member were also present.
