Bantwal: Thieves Target Jewellery Store, Loot Silver Ornaments Worth Rs 12 Lac

Bantwal, Sep 2: A gang of thieves targeted Suresh V Baliga Jewellers and managed to get away with silver ornaments worth Rs 12 lac.

The incident came to light on Saturday morning at around 9 am when workers opened the store.

It is learnt that the thieves broke the shutter, entered the shop and fled with the jewellery.

As per information received from the police, it is learnt that the thieves have looted silver jewellery worth Rs 12 lac.

It is learnt that the thieves damaged the CC cameras installed in the shop, nevertheless, footages of three thieves were captured. On this basis, police are investigating the case.

Dakshinna Kannada SP Abhishek Goyal and Puttur ASP Anuchethan rushed to the spot. Fingerprint experts and sniffer dogs were brought to the spot for investigation.

The investigation is being carried out by sub-inspector Shekar under the guidance of circle inspector Anil S Kulkarni.
