Mangalore: Golden Insignia Awards Conferred on Budding Journalists of SAC

Mangalore, Aug 22: Department of MCMS, St Aloysius College organized Golden Insignia Award ceremony on Tuesday August 21 at Eric Mathias hall to mark the completion of 100 episodes of its Campus Eye programme.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Fr Francis Almeida, vice -principal, said "Creativity is the most important aspect in the field of media. These 100 episodes mark the beginning of student journalism and must be continued by the coming batches."

He further added, "Now we have 15 minutes for the program, ‘Campus Eye’. It should become a one hour programme in the future."

Stalwarts from various media fields, including Dayanand Kukkaje and Vineeth Monis from Daijiworld, awarded the winners.

Vishal Nayak , course coordinator, Laxmi Shenoy coordinator, Juby Thomas and Fr Richard Rego.

Kudos to our journos....Take it to a new high guys....
I was so pleased to see Fr. Andrade after so many years. He was teaching at St. Joseph's Bangalore where I had done my PU in the late 90's....Though, I was in the Science structure and Fr. was from Arts we drew a great bond in a brief time while he was teaching us Spirituality classes......Fr. Sweebert was my Maths professor then, Fr. Eugene was Pop (Princy).... Fun Times, good times, great memories....We had our share of fun with all of them and they too enjoyed it equally without being offended.... Thx Fr.'s.....Keep up your good work....
