Bangalore, Aug 21 (LookBangalore): The 7th India International Salsa Congress, presented by DKNY and Lourd Vijay’s Dance Studio, in association with Idea and Clarks Exotica Airport Hotel saw some stunning performances by international and national artists like Alberto and Mika, Tito and Tamara, Denise and Geik, Bindu Prasanna and many more.

The qualifier round for the World Salsa Championship 2013 was held on Day 2. The winners were: Sonali and Bijay (Amateur Couple), Sai and Kirthi (Professional Couple), Nicholaus and Ananya (Bachata Couple) and Alex (Furor Bangalore) (Team Challenge). These performers will represent India on a global platform in the World Salsa Championship being held in Hong Kong next year as well as win a cash prize money worth quarter million Hong Kong Dollar (HKD 250,000).

This year’s theme “Dance for Everyone” was adopted by everyone attending the event, as many of them participated in workshops of different dance styles like salsa, mambo, zouk, bachata and many more. The participants had a chance to interact with the world’s best dancers and learn various dance styles from them.

The final day of the 7th India International Salsa Congress will see some more workshops and dance performances by Marvin Ramos, Dawn and Douglas, Santo Rico and many more.

About India International Salsa Congress (IISC):

India International Salsa Congress (IISC) is an international platform for dancers across the world to exhibit their talent and get recognition. The idea behind India International Salsa Congress (IISC) is to spread awareness about different dance forms. India International Salsa Congress is a brainchild of Lourd Vijay (Founder and Director, LVDS) and started in 2005. IISC is not only a salsa championship but a place where amateur dancers are nurtured and taught different forms of dance at the workshops taken by eminent national and international dancers and artists.

GROW UP FACE THE FACTS ... AS TIME CHANGES .. PEOPLE CHANGE AND PLACE and COUNTRY ALSO change FOR DEVELOPMENT ... dont be ignorant and innocent ... in this 20 th century no one is .. so stop the crap of protecting my nation and ranting about it .. and blah blah .... karneko sab karthey hai ... but they want to show that we are clean people protecting culture ... pity you people...

Lets not blotch this topic about anti-social elements. This is a free country and the focus here is freedom of expression freedom of who you are and what you wanna be. Of course there will always be criticism but are you gonna fight it or hide from it?

We need more functions like this so that we get more exposure to open and free society as there is no harm in it and based on choice. Live and let live
