Mangalore, Aug 19: Young boys and girls shook their legs to the tunes of Vedik Rock musician Ankit Batra of Sathvik Heights Group from Delhi at a concert held at Milagres Hall here on Saturday August 18.
 
With the trance beat ascending, young boys and girls immersed in the magnificence of music, with vedic hymns transporting the young minds to a different world.

Soothing songs like Govinda Radhe Gopala Radhe Jai Jaya Radhe made everyone go into a frenzy. Boys and girls danced separately on different dance floors.
 
Amidst western music genres like rock, pure Indian vedik hymns created an entirely new atmosphere.

The ‘Music Mantra’ event organized by Sathvik Heights was a unique effort to stress on the importance of spirituality that is washed away by western culture among the young generation.
 
Ankith Bhatra, who started as a software engineer, was attracted by music bands in his college days. When he got in touch with the Art of Living concept of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Guru, he came up with the new idea of mixing spirituality with rock music. He has successfully organized such musical concerts in many corporate companies, colleges and in jails too.
 
Students, kids, and even senior citizens were part of the event.

The article mentions that spirituality is washed away by Western Culture..
No westerner holds a Indian citizen at a gun point and asks you to give up his/her spirituality. It is a CHOICE OF FREE WILL that one makes to give up something good..
I am a catholic living in the US. I have plenty of company here in the form of devout catholics. Hindus have the freedom to build their temples here and they worship too. My christian friends (westerners) dress up decently, modestly and live a meaningful and purposeful life.
When some Indians chose to imitate SOME westerners and dress and act like them they do it so foolishly to appear "cool" or "popular". They do it so with little or no thought. It is a pure stupidity to blame Western Culture for everything bad that happens in Mangalore or elsewhere. God has given us all the free will. Use it wisely..

Forsake what is bad and imitate what is good regardless of nationality and ethnicity and religious background. Then only peace and harmony can prevail in this world.. If you live in the west for several years you would be surprised to know how many wonderful people live on this planet regardless of their religious background..

We must have rock bands, discotheques, night clubs to bring back the lost glory of Mangalore.
Those who with wicked minds and belong to villages can take a back seat.

Simply great concept and those days are not so far, Karnataka Mujrai minister may impliment compulsory rock music in all temples, Good arrangment was made to seperate the gender crowd or else the Gopala's and Govinda's may Gooooooovindaaaaaa with Gopis!!!!!!!!!!!!!
