Beltangady: Soldier Krishnappa Gowda's Death a Case of Murder?

Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady (VM)

Beltangady, Aug 18: The death of Krishnappa Gowda, the soldier who was allegedly killed in a Pakistan attack at the border, is now suspected be a case of murder.

Hailing from Beltangady, Krishnappa was the son of Channa Gowda, and a non-commissioned officer of the Indian army.

As per reports sent by Kant police station in Ferozepur, Krisnhappa was murdered while on duty.

"Kant police station has sent the FIR reports to Dakshina Kannada police," said, SP Abhishek Goyal.

"Dakshina Kannada police have sent a letter to Kant police asking for details of the investigation. Once the details are out, we will be able to clarify the cause of Krishnappa's death," said Goyal.

Goyal called Krisnhappa's brother to Beltangady police station and a copy of the FIR report was handed to him. Sources said that Krishnappa was attacked from a close range as there was a sharp cut from his neck to his ears.

Krishnappa had been sanctioned leave from August 18, along with military housing facility. Two months back he got married and was in his home town for a month, after which he joined duty again.

Sad to read this...Matter has to be investigated thoroughly and murderer punished. Might be a case of jealousy or hate crime! Why against a S.Indian esp Kannadiga..when Karnataka and its people are the greatest in India.Which other city like Blr welcomed and gave jobs and shelter to lakhs of outsiders? By killing gowda the killer has killed himself!

Dear Malcom & Prabhu..I repeat again that there are no silent guns ,all guns make sound.Moderators or suppressors reduce the sound to some extent and not fully. We need EXPERT opinion on this subject from people who deal with fire arms.

Very sad. A young NCO from Indian Army, serving the nation lost his precious life. This is definitely a sad news for all of us. The precious life which was dedicated for the nation will never come back. May Almighty give patience to the grieved family to bear the loss of their dear one.

Media always has to take care to publish the facts only. Why to hurridly jump into wrong statements saying that he was killed by Pakistani army attack! It will be worth that Indian Medias or Pakistani Medias always have to narrow the gap of hatred between these two countries. Why not these two countries love each other and support each other in developments and humane projects!

Dear JAYMINI P.B.
You will be happy to know that there are guns which are silent which use SILENCERS .
The question now IS WHY THIS HYPE WHEN SOMEONE DIES IN THE LINE IF DUTY? And what is the truth ?
SHOT in action ?
HEART ATTACK .?
MURDERED ?
ACCIDENT?
Etc etc

A DRIVER!
LINEMAN,
POLICEMAN!
too die in the line of duty

I agree with KR Prabhu.I had a small doubt too because Krishnappa"s body was lying unnoticed and most important no one heard gun shot ! It appeared in media that SILENT gun was used.THERE IS NO SILENT GUN IN THE WORLD..ALL GUNS MAKE SOUND !!

I had a strong doubt about the mistry on the day I read the first news about Krishnappa's death in the border.Similar case happened sometimes back with the personnel of Anti Naxal Force in Belthgady.
This is mainly due to the fact that our people especially from villages who are recruited in defence force or otherwise by and large and sincere to the core and never compromise with any form of corruption and become thorn for those other colleagues who are accustomed to corrupt practices. So the sincere people pay for their duty boundness. This happened with a IOC officer from Karnataka somewhere in Bhopal some years back.
This is the case with southern state especially Karnataka based Bank officers those working in the northern parts also.Corruption has engulfed the daily routine in every field and sincere sometime become victim of vicious circle. This is the real truth though sounds unbelieveble.
