Kundapur: Knowledge of Regional History is Important - U C Holla

Kundapur, Aug 12: A seminar based on the theme ‘Regional History’ was organized at Upunda Shankar auditorium here on Friday August 10.

The seminar was jointly organized by the First Grade College, Taluk Karnataka Sahitya Parishad and District Karnataka Janapada Parishad.

Uppunda Chandrashekar Hollur, district president of Karnataka Janapada parishad, was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said,  “Ever since their creation, humans have followed a particular system of living. Based on environmental aspects, there have been changes in climate, nature and human behavior.”

He said that the people of the coastal districts are well-cultured and have always helped the people of other countries.

Professor Sayida Banu, principal, said that the implementation of culture, heritage and tradition in our life will help in our all-round development. “Every person should see to it that their behavior does not affect the ancient tradition,” she added.

Dr Jagadish Shetty, president of history council and Narayan Kaarvi, president of Taluk Karnataka Sahitya Parishad among many others were present.

Sandesh Bhat, taluk secretary welcomed the gathering. The function was compered by Panju. Ganesh Prasanna proposed the vote of thanks.
