Kasargod: Train Crushes Three of Family to Death

Kasargod, Aug 9: In a tragic incident, three of a family were crushed under a train at Trikaripura here on Thursday August 9.

The deceased have been identified as Komalavalli (52) of Mayyil, Kannur, her son Shivaprasad (30) and daughter Praseeda (25).

The incident is said to have occured when the three were walking in heavy rain at the railway line near Elambachi mini stadium. It is said that they used to cross the railway line every day.

They were hit by the Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram Parashuram Express train at around 6 am.

Komalavalli's husband Chandran had separated from her and married another woman a few years back. She and her two children have been living in a rented house for the last 6 six years.

Cheemeni police arrived at the spot and shifted the bodies to Pariyaram medical college hospital.

It is unbelievable that mother, son and daughter were crushed to death under a moving train. It was their destiny and may their souls rest in eternal peace and give comfort to the bereaved family. It was their daily route but this time due to heavy rains they did not see the approaching train.

Very sad News!!! I fail to understand why some people do what they feel like even after knowing the dangers associated with their actions. People should avoid crossing railway lines especially during heavy rains, because of poor visibility. It is better to prevent such disasters by being wise. I hope such incidents do not occur in future,this is a lesson to each one of us.People should refrain crossing railway lines as a short cut.People who have no choice, but to cross railway lines to reach their destination should be very careful and very alert while doing so.Government should also ensure good road facility near railway tracks to avoid such accidents which result in loss of precious lives.

Such a incident should not have occured.It is really painful. The destiny is unknown. May thier souls rest in peace. Railway Dept. must fence the entire railway line. That is the only solution available to avoid loss of human life.
