Mangalore: Locals Rescue 8 Fishermen After Two Boats Capsize

Mangalore, Aug 6: Eight fishermen were rescued by the locals at Alive Bagilu near Bengre here on Monday August 6 after their boats capsized.
A gillnet boat named 'Syed Madani' carrying four of the fishermen was caught in strong waves.














Another boat, a trawler named 'Sania', ran into trouble when it dashed into a pile of sand a short distance away from the seashore.
The locals who spotted the boats swung into action and with the help of another boat rescued all the right.
Santosh, Sanjeeva, Umesh and Suresh were rescued from the trawler boat. All of them are said to be from Kundapur.
Manohar, Johnson, Jonam and Shravan, all from Tamil Nadu, were in 'Syed Madani' boat. Both the boats capsized.
On Sunday August 5, four fishermen were rescued in a similar manner by the locals. Altogether, 12 have been rescued in two days.

All other so called culture is only external which suits few as they have interest on it in terms of money, recognition, fame, identity etc.
BRAVO, to the locals of Bengre who have saved eight fishermen. This quality of our locals keeps our head always high.
