Mangalore: Lokayukta Raids Properties of Two Officials, Cases Filed

Mangalore, Jul 31: On the basis of credible information, Lokayukta officials on Tuesday July 31 raided properties belonging to two government officials and registered cases.
The officials conducted raids on Ratnakar Naik, deputy director, food and civil supplies, Chikmagalur and Raghupal G, assistant town planning officier of Mangalore City Corporation.
The two were charged with possessing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income, under the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of D S Jagamayynavar, superintendent of police, Karnataka Lokayukta.
In case of Ratnakar Naik, police found that he possessed three acres land at Ujire worth Rs 60,000, 23 cents land at Ujire worth Rs 1,45,000, house at Ujire worth Rs 25 lac, flat at Bejai-Kapikad worth Rs 9,11,000, Maruthi Swift car (KA 21 M 7030) worth Rs 6,40,000, 350 grams of gold worth Rs 9 lac, four bank accounts with Rs 4,88,170, medical college expenses of Rs 18 lac and Rs 88,600 in cash. Altogther, his assets were worth Rs 69,56,770.
The Lokayukta police also raided two properties belonging to Raghupal G. Among his assets they found 3.35 cents land at Kadri worth Rs 70,000, three cents land at Kadri worth Rs 1,25,000, house at Mallikatta worth Rs 25 lac, shopping complex at Mallikatta worth Rs 5 lac, land ar Bangalore worth Rs 7,80,000, Maruthi Swift car (KA 19 MB 2006) worth Rs 4,78,145, Tata Indica car (KA 19 P 1739) worth Rs 3,65,390, Honda City car worth Rs 9 lac, Corporation Bank account with Rs 5,24,000, 187 grams gold worth Rs 6,23,000, five bank accounts with Rs 2,05,054, 450 grams of silver ornaments worth Rs 25,000 and medical college expenses of Rs 15 lac. In all, his assets stood at a value of Rs 85,95,589.
The bank accounts and lockers of both the officers are being scrutinized and investigation is on.
Inspectors Udayanayak, Varnekar among others were part of the raid.

But you want bigger catch, there are many around. check the independent houses of the big government bosses in Mangalore city. and once you get a step in, all the wealth will pour out for you to check. easzzzzzzzzy job. and properties are sometimes in others names, like wife, mother in law, children etc. what income do they have to register in their names. IT dept to check too.
