We all are Prisoners of Fame: Mahesh Bhatt

Mumbai, Jul 31 (IANS): Stardom is a kind of addiction and actors, who attain it, fear losing it, says seasoned filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and adds that this is the premise of "Raaz 3".

"Every artist is haunted by fear, which follows him. When he reaches stardom, he gets scared of losing it all. He wants to always be at that height. We are all prisoners of fame," Mahesh told IANS during the launch of the first trailer of his upcoming film "Raaz 3".

According to the filmmaker, the movie portrays same fear through its storyline and "'Raaz 3' dares to touch this fear which entertainers live with".

Produced by Vishesh Films and directed by Vikram Bhatt, "Raaz 3" stars Emraan Hashmi, Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta.

Held almost at midnight, the launch of this horror flick was not ordinary at all -- the ambience was spooky with the cast performing a small skit for the audience.

And fans got a chance to see a sneak peek of one of the songs of the film.

Calling the film "a dangerous cocktail", Bhatt also said that the film's story somehow coincided with Bipasha's life and the actress didn't hesitate when she got to know about this.

"She did not hesitate when we told her about this. The film may not seem realist, but has been sourced out from the heart," he said.

"Raaz 3" is schedule to release Sep 7.
