Mangalore, Jul 17:
As part of Sriramulu-led BSR Congress party’s ‘Swabhimani Sankalpa Yatre’ for ‘better’ Karnataka, there will be another ‘yatre’ from Karwar to Ramanagar from July 29 to August 5, said BSR Congress party’s Mahila Morcha state president and cine actor Rakshitha, at a press meet here on Tuesday July 17.

The walkathon will cover a distance of 1,300 km in 8 days to study the problems in each region. The yatre will start in Karwar on July 29 at 11.30 am will pass through Sirsi, Soraba, Sagar and culminate in Shimoga, where a convention will be held. There will be party convention in Hasan and Chikamagalur on July 31, and in Udupi on August 1.

The Mangalore convention is scheduled to be held at Town Hall on August 2 at 11 am. The yatre will reach Sullia the same evening. Likewise, there will be convention in Madikeri on August 3 at 11 am, Mysore on August 4 at 11 am, Chamarajnagar on August 4 in the evening, in Mandya on August 5 at 11 am and the valedictory will be held in Ramanagar the same day at 4 pm.

Rakshitha said that only regional parties are the ray of hope in future and not any national parties. She referred to Akhilesh’s triumph in UP and YSR congress party’s rise in neighboring state of Andra Pradesh to concrete her statement. Recalling Ramulu’s walkathon which covered 921 kms in 54 days from Basavakalyana to Bangalore raised issues like pending work of removing of silts accumulated in Thunga Bhadra reservoir which was a major problem of farmers in the region. She stated that in the coming election all 224 candidates will contest in the coming MLA election from the BSR congress party.

To a query on building the party in the district as well as in the state, she said a membership campaign will be initiated at booth levels. To another query regarding Somshekar Reddy and Suresh Babu appearing in the party’s programme, she said that they are welcome to join the BSR Congress party if they wish to. "BSR Congress is a secular party and will be the voice of farmers and the poor," she declared.

To a query on illegal mining mafia, she chose to maintain silence except for saying that nobody is above the law.

just for a change why can't we go for BSR congress. As per my knowledge Ramulu helped so many poor people in his constituency and also he organised so many times SAMOOHIKA VIVAHA.I agree he is not fluency in kannada but he can role better than yediyurappa

At first glance, i thought it was photo of TUN TUN of Hindi movies instead of this obsolete actress.
As of now Sri Ramulu has done nothing but padyatras and processions and time wasting things.
I wonder what this guy can offer for Karnataka now.
Oh I remember this was the guy who used to paint his picture on the Govt. ambulances, as though it was his personal property.
Shameless people hungry for power.

Madam Rakshitha,

Basic minimal needs of everyone in Karnataka are clean water , proper drainge, uninteruped power supply, proper waste disposal, good health care at affordable price. Can you provide it, then go for the Yatre. Otherwise BSR is also wolf in the lambs disguise

Dinesh Poojary, you are forgetting your favorite party BJP could come to power only because of Sriramulu and Reddy brother's ill gotten wealth. The whole BJP govt is standing because of immorality. BJP used them for their money and discarded them. There is no difference between BJP and BSR congress. All are filled with tugs and looters who will continue to fool people in the name of hindutva and caste and the gullible who vote for these losers will bring about the destruction of our state. Already the iron ore reserves is depleted. Next they will go on to other minerals, Kaveri water etc and complete the utter annihilation of the state.

Rakshita being a educated person how can u support this man. have you ever been to Gadag his constituency. just go to a place called Sherehatti part of Gadag there is no road there most backword area. he had not time and money to do good there. why these yatras. first let him do something in his own place then move around. only talks and power hungry what good he has done. do you know the problems people of Gadag face. do they get sufficent water. before you educated people stars opt to support these people must visit therir constituencies and then go behind theri money as if film industry not giving you sufficent.

Most politicians are banking on the certain hung assembly in 2013. HDK wants to be the prince, doubling JDS numbers and Ramulu wants to bail out Reddy, with 10-15mla's. BJP fans are sure that corruption wont be an issue and people will vote based on caste politics, where as congress hopes, people will support it having fed up with BJP politics of 4 years.
It is interesting to see, how people will vote in next election.

No difference between BSR Congress and INC Congress. Both are corrupt to core.

Rakshita should first teach good Kannada to Ramulu. He looks like a Rowdy.

Soon your husband will have to direct a movie "DARI TAPPIDA RAMULU"

Dear readers,
We have come to a situation now where we have become victims of selfish politics. Ruling party workers are concerned about what they have in store for them rather than what they can to do for people of Karnataka. Politics is getting strongly associated with religion cast and area. Question is Are we the people of Karnataka such fools that we time again go for voting vote these same people and wait for the injustice to happen ? As Kannadigas do we want party based on religion or cast or a party which can work for people keeping aside religion and caste ?
My feeling is we should bring about this change by bringing up a new party who should come to power based on life changing manifestos.
Can we go for next polls with a new party? I think we should the only option we have now is a change that we can bring about, else we will continue to remain idiots and existing politicians will destroy us.
Its time we decide who will be our politicians and make them responsible for every action.

Ramulu may be force to rekon with Northern / Hyderabad K'taka. Doubt, he can influence DK and Udupi?
In the forthcoming assembly elections if his party manage to get 25 - 30 seats, he will be the King Maker!!!
Advanatage, there are disgruntled leaders in every party and if he woos few such elements with credibility, can bounce back on BJP prospects...Cong also a devided house...JDS another regional outfit can influence 40 - 50 seats.....moral of the story - Fish in troubled waters and work-out a strategy win as many MLA 's as possible...

First of all Mr.Sriramulu is an corrupt politician. I still remember in one of his programme he told that he will never and ever quit BJP.. but now he left it. This means that he himself did not keep his words, what he can do to Karnataka??????
