Kundapur: Gangolli Govt School Headmaster Wilfred Lewis (42) Dies in Accident

Kundapur, Jul 14: Wilfred Lewis, known among his friends and family as Wilfy Master, was killed in an accident on NH 66 near Aarate junction here on Saturday July 14 at around 1.30 pm.

The accident occured when, while riding his bike on the highway, he tried to avoid a pothole and the bike skid as the road was wet due to rains. He was thrown on to the road and a passing truck ran over him.

The 42-year-old teacher was the owner of Trasi Master Decorators. He belonged to Trasi Christ the King Church in Kundapur. He was also the headmaster at Gangoli Government school.

Wilfred was also the secretary of the Kundapur Zonal Empowerment Committee.

He is survived by his wife Jane Lewis and two children Joshwin and chess prodigy Viola. Jane is a teacher. The late Lucy Lasrado, his mother, was also a teacher by profession. The family earlier resided at Sasthan.

Very sad to know about Wilfred Master. If I have not mistaken he had a major accident many years ago. But God saved him. This time yet again with another accident he is no more. Really shocking. May God grant him eternal rest.

Very shocking news. Cant believe this news. This is a great loss to us. We still remember the Hindi classes of yours almost 18 yrs back in St. Josephs. Feel very sad today that you are no more with us. I really miss a teacher whom I used to say "Namaste Sir" whenever we met.
