Bantwal, Jul 12: “Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) has been creating a self-reliant life and boosts self-confidence among the people by optimum use of human resources. The efforts of SKDRDP animators has indeed contributed for its success,” said Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.
Dr Heggade was speaking at the installation ceremony of new office-bearers of taluk Pragatibandu Self-Help-Groups Federation during a function held at Loreto Church auditorium on Wednesday July 11.
“SKDRDP has extended its operations in 16 districts across Karnataka thereby striving to instill self-discipline, create awareness on civic sense, social reform, and savings. Besides, it has found success in reaching state benefits to the masses,” added Dr Heggade.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel was the chief guest who said that the long range plans of Dr Heggade for rural development are leading to ‘Ram Rajya’ as envisioned by Mahatama Gandhi.
Amtady gram panchayat president Bharati Chowta, taluk Jan Jagruti Vedike president Kayyur Narayan Bhat, Federation president Krishnappa Poojary, past president Taniyappa Moolya, APMC president Ronald D’Souza, and Kepu zonal president Krishna Naik were present on the dais.
SKDRDP project officer Dayavati S presented the report. SKDRDP director Mahaveer Azri welcomed the gathering. Harlit proposed the vote of thanks. Agriculture officer Babu H and SKDRDP Bantwal zonal animator Amita compered the programme.
