Sarabjit’s Family Gratified with Salman Khan’s Gesture

Daijiworld Media Network – Entertainment (SN)

Mumbai, Jul 2: Organisation ‘Being Human’s creator Salman Khan has really taken keen interest into focusing on his cause. Last week after the much hyped news about the release of prisoner Sarabjit Singh, who later was not released, his family was devastated.

The Pakistan government has since faced an embarrassment due to their failure in reporting the correct name of the released prisoner. Sarabjit is known as Manjit singh , as reports claim, they got confused with his name and have released the actual prisoner Surjit Singh. Surjit Singh although has now confirmed that he was an Indian spy.

Sarabjit’s family has been working hard towards getting him released from Pakistan where he is held as a prisoner due to his link up with bomb attacks. Salman Khan has since taken his case up and given Sarabjits his family support. He has also released an online petition for the release of Sarabjit.

Reports state that his sister, Dalbir Kaur along with his daughters , Poonam and Swapandeep visited the ‘Dabaang 2’ actor on the sets of his film today. They were grateful for the support they have received from Salman.

Dalbir Kaur has conducted several campaigns to get Singh released but to no avail. Sarabjits death sentence has been postponed since 1990 and also several mercy petitions on his behalf have been filed. He maintains the fact that he is being falsely accused.
