Bangalore: Jarkiholi Threatens to Pull Down BJP Govt if Gowda Replaced

Bangalore: Jarkiholi Threatens to Pull Down BJP Govt if Gowda Replaced

Bangalore, Jun 27 (PTI):
Municipal Administration Minister Bhalachandra Jarkiholi today threatened to pull down the BJP government if Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda was replaced.

"It requires the support of 113 MLAs to save the government and a mere 13 legislators to pull it down," he told reporters here. His statement comes a day after State BJP President K S Eshwarappa entered the fray and declared he would like to be the next Chief Minister in case Gowda steps down and also attempts by loyalists of former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to get  Jagadish Shettar installed as the post.

Jarkiholi said he would not be a 'silent observer' if Yeddyurappa's supporters tried to replace Gowda. "God has blessed us with the strength (numbers) to pull the government down. We will do it by submitting resignation letter,"he said.

He said he would endorse convening of the BJP legislature party meet, but not tolerate Gowda's replacement as Chief Minister. The rapid developments have forced the BJP leadership to rush its Karnataka in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan to the city to end the crisis. Pradhan is expected here tomorrow to resolve the issue, according to party sources.

With Yeddyurappa facing a CBI inquiry in the illegal mining issue, his camp is gunning for Gowda. Yeddyurappa loyalists, including Ministers C M Udasi, M P Renukacharya, Basavaraja Bommai and Murugesh Nirani have for long been pressing for a legislator party meeting to discuss legislators' grievances but in reality to challenge Gowda's leadership.

Gowda has shied away from calling such a meeting, saying he would do so only with approval of the party's leadership. Assembly elections in Karnataka are due in May 2013.

The BJP  government is basically elected to rule the state and give good governance. But for sure they are confused themselves with name of the state KAR-NATAKA and they are all busy in doing the drama.
People elected them because they wanted a change (because the parties that ruled the state dint make full use of the opportunity). But, the way things are going on, we may never see a complete majority for any party in next elections.
People are fed up with dirty politics from all corners.

SOMEWHERE SAYING IN THE BJP PARTY SPOKES PERSONS LIKE RAVISHANKAR PRASAD AND OTHERS THAT UPA WILL FALL AND WILL HAVE GERNERAL ELECTIONS IN 2013 NOW IT SEEMS THAT BJP WILL NEVER BE READY FOR ELECTIONS WITH ALL THESE INFIGHTING TILL 2020.... JAI HOO....JAI HOO..... JAI HOO.... ADDING TO THEIR PAIN WE HAVE MUTALIK OUSTED FROM GOA... THAT'S A GOOD ONE... DODDANNA DAMASKATTE

Nagesh and Rakesh frantically searching for a way to somehow blame UPA/Congress for this also.

According to them, Congress is responsible for:
1. World war 1
2. World war 2
3. Cold war
4. Big bang
5. forthcoming destruction of world as predicted by Mayans.

JAI HOOO

Mr Langool...ALL the BJP MLA's are dying to be CM. We support Mr Sadananda Gowda...at least he is trying his best to give good governance and take all sections of society along unlike coyrupt yeddy.

Rakesh Shetty,

Is is still small internal problem within your party and exlpoding to a major problem, please clarify.

Power hungry, selfish, and no-development oriented people full of "natak" in the state goverment today.

We will soon have a chance soon to replace these and all such people from any given party to run the goverement efficently and effectively.

This is a simple problem. BJP will resolve it in a day or two. Congress supporters no need to poke their nose as there are a number of problems in Congress party. There nearly 10 CM aspirants in congress. If Ismail's logic works there will be CM change for every 2 hours.

Our Indian politicians are too busy with the musical chair competition, where is the time for actual developmental work? It applies to all parties including congress, bjp, janata dal etc. Actually the tax payer or citizens( that is ,you and me )are paying them salary and all the other illegal money to do the job of governing and development , and look at them what they are upto!!!
