Bangalore: Nithyananda Back in Jail, Remanded in Judicial Custody

Bangalore, Jun 14: After being granted bail on Thursday June 14 following a day in Ramnagar district prison, self-styled godman Nithyananda has been once again taken into custody.

He has been remanded in judicial custody for a day by the Ramnagar deputy commissioner Sriram Reddy who is also the district executive magistrate.

The decision was taken as a precautionary safety measure, and to maintain law and order in the wake of widespread protests against the controversial swami.

Nityananda has been taken to Mysore central prison where he will be lodged till Friday June 15. Tight security arrangement has been made at the prison, with senior police officials personally inspecting the cell where he will be kept. A large number of policemen guarded him from Ramnagar to Mysore jail.

The magistrate will hear his case again on Friday at 3 pm.

Bangalore, Jun 14: A day after he was arrested by the police, controversial guru Nithyananda has been granted bail by the Ramnagar JMFC court.

Nithyananda has also filed a writ petition in the high court against the chief minister, home minister, police officials and Suvarna news channel demanding Rs 10 crore.

The court granted him bail on a surety of Rs 50,000, paid by Narendran, a resident of Basavanagudi in Bangalore.

Nithyananda was arrested on Wednesday June 13 after he surrendered in the Ramnagar court. He was absconding for almost a week and the police had launched a manhunt for him.

A large crowd gathered at the Ramnagar district prison as soon as the news spread. Section 144 has been imposed around the area for 200 metres to control the mob.

The guru went missing from his ashram late Thursday and suddenly appeared before the Ramanagaram court Wednesday, though earlier in the day he had issued a media statement that he would be back in his ashram Thursday.

After the chief minister's order to seal the ashram and arrest Nithyananda, Ramanagaram police have been searching the premises for the last two days for any evidence of alleged immoral and objectionable activities there.

Nithyananda faces a rape case filed in 2010 following telecast by a Tamil TV channel of a video showing him in sexual acts.

Soon after the telecast, Nithyananda went into hiding for over a month from March to April. Karnataka Police found him in Solan in Himachal Pradesh and he was sent to a jail in Bangalore for about seven weeks.

Suvarna News is giving too much importance to this news. Why he is given coverage 24 hours since 5 days ? Are there no other important news or is this news extremely important. News highlighted once is sufficient for people to know, but doesn't make sense in telecasting over & over again. This clearly shows how TV channels like Suvarna News & TV9 repeteadly telecast a particular news & take mass to madeness or provoke the society. A fault committed by one is made known to each & every person & thus make the channels unworthy to see, eg: assembly porn video, or so. It is a clear example of how media make repeated mistake & put the blame to other.

Look at the interview of Arthi. She is logical, chronological, emotional (at the right times) and her events can be verified. Nithyananda's response? That she is a covert pr?st?tute and that she has STD (Herpes 2). What kind of a Swami is this? As one participant said on TV :- When a Swami goes even to a red-light area, he considers the women there as Mothers. Look at this guy. He calls an ex-devotee such names. How low can he get? And his devotees like Nagesh still do not get it..I liked the way the participants kicked Muthalik's rear..He started pretending not to know much of what was going on but strangely he had all the negative information about the victims..He is a Nithyananda supporter like Nagesh below. And how many cases is Nithyananda filing? He (or the Organization or someone close to him) has filed cases against the CM, Lenin, Arthi, Vinay, many in the media(Suvarna, TV9 and others), the TN Mutt heads, Kanchi Shankaracharya etc, etc..And every day he seems to be filing cases against someone new..Already our judiciary is overloaded and common cases are not getting heard..Why waste their precious time on such nonsense cases with only one common thread-Nithyananda?

It is not surprising to see Nithyananda getting bail. We should not expect much from our law-enforcing agencies or our politicians while dealing with individuals of high repute who have amassed huge wealth legally or illegally. We public see everybody equal before the law and expect these agencies to deal equally with all. But the fact is these individuals are taken to task just to have a pound of flesh from them and then the matter ends for the time being.

I had doubt about the 'niyyath' of the RAMNAGAR DISTRICT ADMIN.Police might had used lighter IPC's and Court took cognizant of the IPC section and released him on bail.Apart from that how he had daring to sue CM of Karnataka. Interestingly,Home department or minister did not involved in this episode but CM himself swung in to action!What is the reason of R Ashok's (Home Miniser)inactiveness in this episode?

There might be politics infiltrated in this issue?Mr JAIMINI MANIPAL,one of the DAIJI reader doubted also.As I had written earlier,he has wealth to counter any agency or law enforcement agency by hook or crook as he had equipped with political influence and battery of well known lawyers.

People may lost faith in system but there is system which may be fabricated according to and vested interest.Anyway, Court does not see any emotion or strike or any other emotional elements while granting bail.Govt can still do some thing to cancel the bail while applying law and order problem.A great set back to GOVT OF KARNATAKA,particularly CM Sadananda Gowda.One MR SHARTH put it earlier correctly as SADANANDA (GOWDA) versus NITYANANDA...."IS YEDDY BEHIND"????????

Indeed it is shocking to hear and see that a rogue swamiji got bail within five minutes of he entering the court. This brings in a lot of questions :

a) Are the charges framed by the police are so weak and casual in nature ?
b) Did the police not know that the charges they have framed would enable him to get easy bail ?
c) Is Nitya taking the state for a jolly good ride ?
d) If court granted him bail in five minutes was no arguments done or was it pre-planned and stage managed ?
e) Is the entire police force supporting Nityananda ?
f) Unbelievable !!! With so much of charges and the entire state burning, police could not arrest him and hold back for enquiry but if it was a general public police threaten of arresting and seizing the vehicle if caught drunken driving. Is drinking a bigger offence compared to what Nitya has committed ?

Either the police are doing the job of eye wash in this case or police are taking the public for a big ride ?

Instead of wasting time relying on police or administration smartness would be public get more cautious and do not get carried away by these nasty swamijis.

As long as people are ready to get cheated there are people to cheat if people turn around and give a kick to the cheaters then nobody would dare to attempt to cheat.

PEOPLE NEED TO GET TOGETHER AND DEFEND THEMSELVES AND THEIR NEIGHBOURS !!!!!!!!
