Successful Directors Don't Need Me: Vidhu Vinod Chopra

Singapore, Jun 11 (IANS): Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra says he likes collaborating with upcoming directors as working with new talent is far more gratifying than making a film with established names.

"The successful directors are already successful, they don't need me. But somewhere when I Iook back at my life, and I see the kind of people who have come into my life, who I have helped, who I have become friends with, I feel fulfilled," Chopra told IANS here at the promotional event of "Ferrari Ki Sawaari", which is also helmed by first time director Rajesh Mapuskar.

The filmmaker was here with the film's lead actors - Boman Irani and Sharman Joshi and Mapuskar. "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" releases June 15.

"What makes me extremely happy is that when I see the young talent... I don't want to make big successful films with big directors. For me, making films with young directors is far more gratifying than making a film with big directors and stars. It is my personal choice," added Chopra, who has worked with new directors like Pradeep Sarkar and Rajkumar Hirani in "Parineeta", "Munnabhai MBBS" respectively.

As a part of promotional drive the team of "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" also drove a Ferrari car on the F1 track of Singapore.
