Chikmagalur, Jun 10: Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Jayaprakash Hegde had a close shave here on Sunday June 10 when the car he was travelling in was hit by another car.
The accident occured near Balehonnur in the morning.
J P Hegde escaped the accident unhurt and no other injuries were reported.
Hegde was on his way from Kundapur where he had been to conduct an official inspection.

Dear MP J P Hegde God has been on your side all the time since you are a honest person. You survived the car accident and may some enemy of yours must have tried to kill you by causing this accident. This is common in this country.
MP J P Hegde very honest and God fear man, he is working for the public day and night as I know him very personally. God always with him and protecting him.
Request more politicians to travel by road so that they can understand the plight of the roads. Tourists driving recklessly in these areas combined with bad roads is also a major cause for these accidents.
