Udupi, Jun 10: Cattle of Subramanya Bhat and Mutthu Mullia were found dead after grazing in the Bellibettu on Friday June 8.
About eight days ago, Bhat’s cow died as it was grazing in Thaje area. Last Sunday, the nine-month-old cow of Mutthu Mullia refused to eat any fodder when it came home after grazing near the UPCL tower. It was later found dead here in the cow shed on Friday.
“The veterinary doctor said that it was because of acute pain in the leg that the cow was dead,” Mullia told reporters.
Puranik said that these issues will be brought to the notice of the district commissioner and the department of animal care.
