Mangalore: Ashok Kheny Terms IAS Officers Inefficient

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Mar 1: Ashok Kheny, managing director of Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise Ltd, criticized the Indian administration service (IAS) cadre officers for failing to fulfill the aspirations of the people and build the country stronger and better.

“If I was the Prime Minister, I would have fully engaged myself in building my country. The present set of IAS officers is good for nothing,” he commented.

Talking further, he advised the students to punish those who offer drugs, keep the toilets clean, and value their cultures. He said he does not get bogged down by threats from different quarters including underworld.

Kheny was speaking after inaugurating ‘Incident-2012’ at National Institute of Technology Suratkal (NITK) on Wednesday February 29. The event will be on till March 4.

Kheny said the responsibility of building the country’s future lies in the hands of present-day students. While advising the students to work hard for shaping a better future, he felt too much pressure does not bode well for the students.

NITK director, Prof Sandeep Sancheti, Ummer T K, and president of Bangalore unit of NITK Old Students Association, were present.

Dean of students’ welfare, Prof Gopal Mugeraya, welcomed. Convener of ‘Incident’, Varun S Rao, gave details about the programmes. President of Students Union, Siddarth M H, was present.

Kheny, an old student of NITK belonging to civil engineering degree batch of 1972, had especially come to participate in this programme in his private aircraft from Bangalore.
