Bahrain: Kannada Sangha to Hold Yakshagana Play ‘Kateel Kshetra Mahatme’ on Oct 28

Bahrain, Aug 4: Kannada Sangha Bahrain will organize a staging of Yakshagana play ‘Kateel Kshetra Mahatme’ by artistes from undivided Dakshina Kannada district, here on October 28.
The Sangh has maintained the tradition of felicitating veteran Yakshagana artistes during the programme every year.

Veteran Yakshagana artistes Ramesh Shetty Bayar, Sanjay Kumar Shetty Gonibeedu, and Narayan Shibaroor will be the guest artistes at the performance.

Laxminarayan Asranna, chief priest of Durgaparameshwari temple, Kateel, will deliver a religious discourse on the occasion. ‘Sri Krishna Sandana’, a Taalamaddale, will be held here on October 29 for the delight of Yakshagana enthusiasts.

Kannada Sangh Bahrain president Rajkumar, past president Ramesh Manjeshwar, Karnataka Yakshagana Academy president Kumble Sundar Rao, veteran Yakshagana artistes Ramesh Shetty Bayar and Sanjay Kumar Shetty Gonibeedu were present at the press meet.
