Bengaluru, Jan 23: An order has been issued, duly listing out names of ministers who have to hoist the national flag in different districts on Republic Day. As per the list, S Angara, who has been newly inducted into the state ministry, has been given the responsibility to hoist the tricolour at Udupi.

Kota Srinivas Poojary will hoist the flag in Dakshina Kannada district while V Somanna has been assigned Kodagu district. In case of inability of any of the ministers to hoist the flag on account of ill health or other reasons, the concerned deputy commissioners will hoist the flags.

In all likelihood, Angara may be made the in-charge minister for Udupi district. It is said that home minister, Basavaraj Bommai, who is in-charge minister for Haveri and Udupi districts may be divested of Udupi which may be given to Angara.
