Daijiworld Media Network - Ballari (SP)

Ballari, Jan 22: Many a time, we see that a plaque or board fixed to the front door of the house announces the educational qualification of the owner along with his name. Normally people suffix their names with degrees like MA, BSc and LLB etc. However, if you visit the house of M Sudarshan Reddy at Sudarshana Nilaya, tenth cross on Taloor Road here, you will come across 149 degrees Reddy holds.

During the last 36 years, Reddy has ecured 27 degrees, 36 MSc, 11 MBA, nine Mcom, six LCM, six education and 54 MA degrees. He also has prepared to appear for more degree examinations.

Sudarshan Reddy is a lawyer by profession. He is 58. From 1984 onward, he has secured his degrees through Sri Venkateshwara, Alagappa, and Ambedkar universities at the rate of one degree at a time through distant education. From 1992, he got degrees from 21 universities like Gulbarga, Kuvempu, Kakathiya, KUD, Bengaluru, Acharya, Nagarjuna, and Krishnadevaraya universities.

Naturally, Indians don't get enough time after marriage. All are busy with their building houses, bank loans, Jobs, kids & school, wife , family gathering, kola, temple visits, Utsavas, night vigilance, Sunday services, ward Jamaat, Uroose, Friday sermons & namaaz, marriage functions, death rituals and anniversaries...etc...etc..so many! B'day... b'day... b'day... never ending!

Probably, this guy earned degree from all of the above listed!

    Congratulations!
Perhaps Mr. Reddy should get an honorary Ph.D. to add to his basket of collection, unless he wants to do it by distance learning.

149 degrees - graduate and post graduate in 36 years? How is this possible as to do one degree at least three years duration is required and to do a post-graduate degree 2 years. At a time one cannot do more than one degree without taking permission from both different universities. That means he did four degrees each simultaneously in a year? Unbelievable. He only has to clarify this.

However congratulations to him for his interest in acquiring knowledge.
