Mangaluru, Jan 19: Two people suffered critical injuries in an accident between a tipper and an Omni van near Paduval farms, Nadukumer, Kinya on Tuesday January 19.

Nooruddin and Imran, residents of K C Nagar Pommannu, suffered serious injuries in the tragic mishap.

They have been admitted to a private hospital at Deralakatte.

    I went through the same route when I returned I saw the Omni was damaged very badly. That road has may curve, they should deploy speed breakers asap.

    ಕೇವಲ ಫೋಟೋ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾರು ಸರಿ-ಯಾರು ತಪ್ಪು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗದು. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇತರ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಸುಗಮ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಪಘಾತಕ್ಕೀಡಾದ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಸಹಾಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬದಿಗೆ ಸರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇದು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ವಯವಾಗದು.

    Over speed and misjudged over taking are the core reasons for most of the accidents (in ~90% of the cases). "LIVE" to drive!

    It appears the omni van was on the wrong track.

    This head-on collision is unbelievable. We cannot understand which driver is at fault. I wish a speedy recovery of the two critically injured. Whichever driver was at fault should be punished.

    Speed kills. Install cameras/radar to monitor speeds on highways. Also take strict action on drivers who is going opposite side of the traffic.
