Media Release

The immense responsibility of making the choice of a career path in grade 10 is quite overwhelming for a fifteen-year-old as they are not equipped with the requisite knowledge about the various career options available. They are likely to follow their peer group or end up studying a course their parents have chosen for them. Therefore, it is imperative that parents and teachers offer students ample opportunities to explore the various career options available.

Manipal School has been conducting virtual career guidance sessions for grade X students even in the remote learning scenario. The session on ‘Chartered Accountancy’ was the seventh in the series which included sessions on a career in Safety Management, Coast Guard, Architecture etc.

This session conducted by Sunitha Furtado, a well-known Chartered Accountant and partner of Nitin J Shetty & Co, Mangaluru, a firm providing consultancy and audit services in the areas of both Direct & Indirect Taxes was much appreciated by the students.

The session began with a note of welcome by Ruwa Fariha, a student of grade 10.
