Mangaluru: Car accident at Kumpala - 16-year-old succumbs to injuries

Mangaluru, Dec 5: The boy, a PU student, who was seriously injured as a car hit him while crossing the road, succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in the city on Saturday December 5.

The accident had occurred near Kumpala Bypass on national highway.

The unfortunate victim of this tragedy is Ayan (16), eldest son of Basheer Ahmed and Riana couple, who reside in a rented house near Kumpala bypass.

Ayan was crossing the road, in front of his house, on the evening of Friday December 4, when a Ritz car that was going to Mangaluru from Talapady hit him. The car hit a pole by the side of the road, as the driver lost the control and came to a halt.

Ayan was a student of a private college in the city. His sister studies in high school. A case in this regard is registered at Mangaluru south traffic police station.
