Karkala, Dec 5: After a Maruti Omni vehicle dashed against a motorbike near Kadthala Siribail on Friday December 4 evening, the pillion rider on the motorbike lost his life. The deceased has been identified as Vishwanath Hegde (56), resident of Hebbarbettu.
Hegde was seated on a motorbike driven by Mohandas Nayak. When they were moving towards Siribail, an Omni which came from behind on the road between Kadthala and Kateel, hit the motorbike. The pillion rider was killed on the spot while thie rider, Mohandas Nayak, suffered serious injuries.
A case relating to the accident was registered at Ajekar police station.
