Puttur: Polices seizes 2.1 kg ganja, other things, accused arrested

Puttur, Dec 4: In an operation launched by the rural police station personnel here at Kallarpe in Aryapu village on Thursday December 3, a person was arrested while caryring 2.1 kg ganja illegally.

The operation was conducted by the police sub-inspector of the rural station, Udayaravi, under the directions of circle inspector, Umesh Uppalike. The raid was conducted on an auto rickshaw that was moving towards Sullia from the town.

The arrested accused happens to be Hathim, a resident of Manjanady Kuchigudde in Mangaluru. 2.130 kg ganja worth Rs 42,600, an iPhone worth Rs 5,000, Rs 5,900 in cash, and the auto rickshaw worth about one lac rupees that was used for the illegal transportation of ganja were seized.
