Bengaluru, Nov 29: In a bid to send a message that he is unperturbed by the speculation over his removal, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Sunday flew to the prominent Lingayat mutt, Sri Murugharajendra Math premises in Chitradurga and inaugurated its Murughashree Archaelogical Museum.

He also inaugurated the stone mantap of the Math on the northern side.

The pontiff of the Murugha Math, Sri Shivamurthy Murugharajendra Swamiji and others participated in the function.

The Chief Minister also received representations from farmers in Chitradurga demanding establishment of a centre for purchasing maize after declaring a support price.

The Chief Minister later visited his home district of Shivamogga and inaugurated the Extension Building of the Sahyadri Science College of Kuvempu University and also the entrance of the Arts College and Men’s Hostel extension.

The Chief Minister’s elder son and Shivamogga MP B Y Raghavendra, MLC Boje Gowda, Kuvempu University Vice Chancellor Prof B P Veerabhadrappa, pro-chancellor S S Patil and others attended the function.

Yediyurappa inaugurated the Kimmane Golf Resort in the afternoon.

The Chief Minister is flying back to Bengaluru by helicopter in the evening.
