Udupi, Nov 27: BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel addressing a gathering here on the matter of the Kumki land issue said, "The Kumki land problem will be solved soon. We hope to solve the land issue for the benefit of farmers within a year."

Adding to it, he spoke about the sand issue and said, “Dr V S Acharya’s wish of a unique sand policy for the coast will be a reality. We will put an end to the sand mafia."

"Ganja was being supplied from Manipal to villages during the Congress rule. The party had run the government during its reign with the support from the drugs mafia. Stringent legal acts against Love Jihad and slaughter of cattle will be announced soon, with the Act for the latter to be announced in the next session,” he added.

“Chief minister Yediyurappa has taken strict steps to control the drug mafia in the state, due to which Karnataka has become free from drugs. Earlier, murders were reported from Moodbidri, Bantwal, Suratkal, Sullia, Madikeri and Uttara Kannada districts during the Congress rule. However, not even one person has been killed in religious riots during BJP rule,” said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
