Udupi: Kollur, three other temples get managing committees

Udupi, Oct 28: Through an order passed on Tuesday, October 27 the state religious council has appointed nine members each to the managing committees of four temples in the district including Kollur Goddess Mookambika temple, which fall under the Hindu religious endowments department.        

The members will meet for the first time, and elect presidents and vice presidents for their respective committees. The term of the members will be three years.

Kollur temple: Priest member - K Radhakrishna Adiga Balagadde, women members - Ratna Ramesh V Kunder, Kollur and Sandhya Ramesh from Muchchattu. SC - Gopalakrishna from Senapur village. General: Kerady Chandrashekhar Shetty, Ganesh Kini Belve, Dr Atulkumar Shetty Chittoor, Jayanand Hoblidar Yadthare, Shekhar Poojary Karkada.

Among them, Dr Atulkumar Shetty and Jayananda Hoblidar have become members for the second time. The council said that a total of 158 applications were received for memberships.

Kadiyali Mahishamardini temple: Chief priest on rotation, Sandhya Prabhu from Kadiyali, Shashikala from Kunjibettu, Ganesh from Kunjibettu, Dr Raviraj Acharya, Nagaraj Shetty, Kishore Salian, K Manjunath Hebbar Bailakere and Rameh Sherigar have been appointed as members of the managing committee. 

Kota Amrutheshwari temple: Chief priest, Anand C Kunder, Jyothi B Shetty, Susheela Somashekhar, Sundar K, Ramadeva Aithal, Sathish Hegde, Subraya Acharya Manuru and Chandra Poojary Kadrukattu are the members appointed.

Mundkoor Goddess Durgaparameshwari temple: Chief priest, Laxmi from Sankalakariya, Harshini from Aradalu, Shekhar from Alangarugudde, Raveemdra H Shetty from Mundkoor, Mahabala G Karkera from Sacheripet, Prasad M Shetty from Angadiguthu, Raghuveer M Shetty from Jainpete and Vinayakumar Shetty from Jarigekatte.
