Udupi: H1N1 Raises Ugly Head Again – Two Lose Lives

Udupi, Apr 28: The swine flu scare that had almost been forgotten has raised its heads again. Two women lost their lives in Manipal Hospital because of H1N1 virus infection, recently.

Neelamma (42) and Renuka (40) from Davangere district died of swine flu. It is learnt that Neelamma died in April 26 while Renuka became a victim of this deadly disease on
 April 24.

Both these women had been suffering from high fever since the last two weeks, and were referred to this hospital after treatments given by a local hospital failed to heal them, for advanced treatment. By the time the patients got admitted here, it was too late, it is gathered.
