Mangaluru: Novena in preparation of annual St Jude Shrine Pakshikere feast held

Mangaluru, Oct 19: The nine-day novena prior to the annual feast of St Jude Shrine Pakshikere began with the unfurling of St Jude’s flag hoisted by Fr Jawahar Cutinho at the church premises on October 19 at 9.00 am. The secretary of the parish council, Shaila D'Souza mastered the ceremony.

After the flag hoisting, Saalumarada Thimmakka fan club Pakshikere founder, Walter D'Souza along with the parish priest Fr Melwyn Noronha, Fr Santhosh D'Souza and Fr Jawahar Cutinho, planted a tree showing love and respect for mother earth.
