Kaup, Oct 19: On Sunday October 18, a large crowd of tourists visited the Padubdiri End Point Beach, which recently acquired the Blue Flag tag.

After the beach got the coveted certification, the number of visitors has doubled. Due to the high number of visitors, there was traffic jam on the road. People not only from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada, even from other places are coming here now.

In the past, only a handful of people were seen at this beach. Now the number has swelled to over 500. During the week end and holidays, around a thousand tourists come to this beach. This indicates that this beach is developing into a favourite beach among the tourists. As the road leading the beach is narrow, and the number of visitors to the Blue Flag beach and Padubidri main beach has gone up, traffic snarls occurred.

The traffic jam happened up to the bridge on the beach road which affected vehicles leading to Padubidri beach and Blue Flag beach. Later, locals intervened and streamlined the movement of vehicles.
