Mangaluru: SDPI holds protest against Babri demolition verdict, leaders arrested

Mangaluru, Oct 1: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) staged a protest in front of the office of the deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district here on Wednesday, September 30 to express its unhappiness at the verdict delivered by the special CBI court at Lucknow that had absolved all the accused of charges.

The protesters raised slogans against the judgement delivered by the court. They expressed the view that the release of conspirators who had planned to demolish the mosque is tantamount to mockery of justice.

The police took into custody corporator, Muneer Bengre, state secretary of the party, Ashraf Machar, district committee member, Anand Mittabail, SDPI city south constituency secretary, Akbar, and Mulky-Moodbidri constituency unit president, Asif Kotebagilu.
