Mumbai: Fire breaks up at Raymond Co building in Thane

Mumbai, Sep 30: In the early hours of Wednesday, September 30 a fire broke out in the Raymond Company's office building in Thane.

Four fire engines were rushed to the spot along with the police officials, Regional disaster management cell (RDMC), two rescue vehicles, three water tankers, and two jumbo water tankers were all present on the spot.

As per reports from the locals, the fire could be seen from a long distance. The Thane fire service

Santosh Kadam, chief of regional disaster management cell said that the situation was under control and no casualties were reported so far. "The cause of the fire is unknown, but as the incident happened early in the morning, the office premises were empty, the situation is now under control.However, fire officials are still on the site to ensure cooling operations continue,” said Santosh Kadam, chief, regional disaster management cell, Thane," he said.
