Congress asks PM tackle job crisis, generate employment

Panaji, Sep 18: The state Congress said that the country's unemployment crisis has jeopardized the youth's future and sought that Prime Minister Narendra Modi take necessary steps to generate employment for the youth.

Girish Chodankar, the state Congress president said that the Modi should generate atleast two crore jobs every year to ensure the youth are not left in the lurch.

“Faulty economic policies and mishandling of Covid led to the current situation. Of all the problems plaguing in the country right now, Modiji this one begs your urgent attention," the state Congress president said.

Chadonkar alleged that the demonitization in the country and faulty GST implementation has resulted in the job losses for many youth who are suffering in the country.

The Congress here has also requested the state government to temporarily take over the private hospitals or regulate the charges at a subsidized rates for the Covid patients.
