Dubai: Larry's Kannada Movie 'Ellellu Neene...' Set to Release in August

Dubai, Mar 28: The shooting of second movie of Dubai lad Larry Fernandes', who is rechristened 'Rohit' for Kannada filmdom and first movie in Kannada 'Ellellu Neene, Nannallu Neene' and directed by Richard Castelino was completed last week and is all set to release in August 2010, according to Frank Fernandes, producer of the movie.

It can be recalled here that Larry who has done his schooling in Dubai was featured as a lead male in Konkani movie 'Kazar' that was released in November 2010. Thus 'Ellellu Neene..' also happens to be his second movie as a leading man.
"It was a little disappointing that, Konkani movie 'Kazar' did not get expected success at the box office, but Larry has made a fine debut and his acting along with lead female actress Poonacha was well-appreciated by all. It was an experiment and not a commercial venture. We wanted to make a movie in our mother tongue Konkani, and wanted Larry to make his film debut. There is no regret. 'Kazar' still has scope, we might re-launch it after sometimes" says Frank Fernandes, producer and chairman of Ferns Movie International, Bangalore based film production company. Frank is also a philanthropist and managing director of Mosaco Shipping Company here.
"We have put in lots of efforts to bring great amount improvement in Kannada movie. The songs are shot abroad in places such as Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia and in India like Shimla, Madikeri, Bangalore and Malpe among others. We are pretty confident that Kannada movie will do much better," says confident producer Frank.
The 'Ambari' film fame Supreetha plays the female lead in the movie.
"Acting in Kannada movie is completely a different experience and I am learning new things after every day's shoot. I truly love the atmosphere and team work. Working with Supreetha, and Ashwath Neenasam, well-known actors is adding confidence in me and I am sure the movie will do well" says Larry, who is of the opinion that acting in movies is a continuous learning process and that he is trying to adjust to the system.
The movie shoot is complete and the movie is all set to realese anytime in August after the cricket fever gets over.
When producer was queried as to what would be the next project, he said "We are not in a hurry and will wait for the Kannada movie to release. We hope that success of Kannada movie will lead us to produce another movie with mega star cast." "Meanwhile, Larry is now open to acting in movie of any language and is also considering a Telugu movie, which he will soon sign if everything goes on well" adds the producer.
Music for 'Ellellu Neene is provided by Vijaya Bharathi. Well- known singers like Rajesh Krishnan have lent their voices as playback singers. Mallikarjuna is behind camera works. Lyrics are by Jayanth Kaikini, V Manohar, Kaviraj and Shankar Bannanje.
