Udupi, Aug 15: Rotary Club Brahmavara, Rotary Club Barkur, Nammur Barkur Facebook Friends, Sri Viramaruti Sports and Cultural Club Barkur Team Abhimatha under the aegis of Cultural club launched 'Hasiru Barkur and Herbal plant garden' programme near Hanehalli School campus.
Lakshman fruit herbal plant was presented to the principal of the school symbolizing the launch of the programme. All dignitaries planted a soursop plant together launching the drive.
Ganesh Shetty presented the list of Muddu Krishna prize winners of poem competition and distributed the prizes.
Rotarian Aruru Thimmappa Shetty and Vasudev Shetty wished the programme success to attain the desired outcome.
Vasantha Gilliyar educated the people on the medicinal fruit soursop and its benefits.
About 300 soursop fruit plants were distributed to the public gathered there.
