Panaji, Aug 9: Amid coronavirus pandemic teachers in the state are facing delayed salaries issue, July dues have still not been cleared. Last month aided schools got a circular asking them to pay July salaries to its teaching and non-teaching staff out of the school funds as a department at the directorate of education (DoE) was under quarantine.

These orders were withdrawn after the school managements were unhappy with these orders.

The directorate of education (DoE) Amonkar who took charge following this controversy, told that he would ensure that his staff works overtime to see that salaries are credited to employees of aided schools with a delay of not more than two to three days.

Even though it's August 8 already, July dues are still pending.
