Shiv Panditt packs international punch in 'Khuda Haafiz'


Mumbai, Aug 7 (IANS): Actor Shiv Panditt trained with international action director Andy Long Nguyen, who has been associated with the films of Jackie Chan, for his role in the upcoming romantic action thriller, Khuda Haafiz.

Shiv will be seen playing the role of an Arab commando in the film, and he will feature in a will be seen pulling off a series of stunts.

"It was such an amazing experience to work with Andy. His style of action, professionalism and eye for detail is mindblowing. He was there along with his team to make sure the most difficult action scenes were executed like a piece of cake," Shiv said.

"It was also very interesting to see that while he made us do some really daredevil stunts, his ability to make them safe was also on point," he added.

The actor learnt hand-to-hand combat routines, and martial art forms like the Keysi fighting technique, seen in the "Batman" films, and Krav Maga, involving close-quarter combat and grappling moves.

The romantic action thriller "Khuda Haafiz" is inspired by a true story, and has been directed and written by Faruk Kabir. It features Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in lead roles, and will launch on an OTT platform on August 14.
