Puttur: SPPC shines with one sixth rank, 3 eighth ranks in II PU Board Examination

Puttur, Jul 14: St Philomena PU College, here wrapped up another academic year with an excellent performance in PUC examination in Karnataka. The students of batch 2019 - 2020 of the college made their alma mater proud by the results achieved this year, bagging 94.2% in the Pre-University board exam held in March.

Sudhanva Shyam S scored 591/600 (English- 95, Sankrit- 100, P- 98, C- 99, M- 100, B- 99) in Science stream and has raised the flag of victory by securing sixth rank in the state and topper in Puttur taluk. Shruthi U S scored 589/600 (English- 92, Hindi- 98,P- 100, C- 100, M- 99, B- 100)in Science stream and has brought laurels to the college by securing eighth rank. Rithesh Rai (English- 90, Sanskrit-100, S- 100, CS- 100, B- 100, A- 100) and Anoop B V (English- 92, Sanskrit- 100, E- 100, B- 98, A - 100, S- 100) scored 590/600 in Commerce stream and secured eighth rank in the state and topper in Puttur taluk. Nishanth (English- 80, Sanskrit- 98, H- 95,E- 94,Soc-97, Pol- 85) scored 549/600 in Arts stream.

11 students secured above 95% in Science stream, 16 students secured above 95% in Commerce streams.

To add to the list of achievements, out of 540 students, 125 students secured distinction and 301 students passed with first class.

In Science stream, students secured 100% in English. In Arts stream students secured 100% in Political Science and Sociology.

The management and the principal of the college applauded all the students who scored well and congratulated the students who passed with flying colours.
