Bengaluru, Jul 13: In view of rise in coronavirus cases, state education minister S Suresh Kumar made certain announcements. "As there is continued spike in coronavirus cases, the first PU supplementary examinations scheduled from July 16 to July 27 have been cancelled," Kumar said.

“It was decided earlier to complete the examination and announce results on July 30. But those are cancelled now as the virus is spreading rapidly. The student who could not clear the exams will be promoted to the second PUC. Only the students who were unable to appear for the examination due to lack of attendance will not be considered for the promotion,” he said.

“A Sethu Bandhu Bridge Course programme on Doordarshan Chandanavahini will be broadcasted for students from Class 8 to Class 10 in order to encourage those who are at home,” he added.
