Colva: Recovery from coronavirus - Constable gets grand welcome on return to duty

Colva, Jul 8: Constable Suresh Rathod of Colva police who was under treatment for coronavirus resumed duty after being away from work for over a month. He joined duty on Tuesday, July 7.

On his return to the duty, Rathod received a warm welcome from his peers at the police station.

On June 1, the constable from the Mangor Hills, Vasco, became the first person to test positive for the virus after which the area was declared as a containment zone.

Following Rathod's positive test result, 108 Colva police were tested. However, they all tested negative.

Rathod was admitted to the ESI hospital for more than 14 days after which he was shifted to MPT hospital in Vasco to recover.
